Medical sources in Gaza have confirmed to **Al Jazeera** that at least **62 people** have died in recent Israeli attacks across the **Gaza Strip**. The escalating violence comes as Israel’s **National Security Minister** demands a **"complete halt"** to humanitarian aid entering the Palestinian territory, raising fears of a deepening crisis.  

Gaza City witnessed devastating violence on Thursday as Israeli airstrikes killed at least 15 people in two separate attacks. Among the casualties were nine individuals who lost their lives at a school in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, where displaced families had sought shelter. 

In a separate incident, another strike near a tent encampment in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, claimed the lives of nine more people. The attacks have intensified humanitarian concerns as civilians continue to bear the brunt of the ongoing conflict.  

Hospital sources in Gaza reported to *Al Jazeera* that a drone strike targeted a bustling market street in **Deir el-Balah**, leaving **nine people dead and wounded**. The attack adds to the escalating violence in the region, as medical officials confirmed that **at least 62 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Wednesday alone**.  

The strike on the crowded marketplace has heightened fears of worsening civilian casualties amid ongoing hostilities. Local authorities are struggling to manage the rising toll, with hospitals overwhelmed by the influx of casualties.  

The **Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS)** has reported that **Israeli army gunfire** killed **three people** and injured several others as they waited for **humanitarian aid** near a distribution point in the **Netzarim Corridor**, central Gaza. This marks yet another deadly incident targeting civilians seeking food and supplies from **aid distribution sites** backed by the **Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)**—a controversial initiative supported by the **US and Israel**.  

### **Escalating Death Toll at Aid Distribution Points**  

Since the GHF began operations on **May 27**, Gaza’s **Government Media Office** has documented at least **549 Palestinian civilians killed** while attempting to access food from these aid sites. The repeated attacks on **desperate civilians** struggling to survive amid **starvation and blockade conditions** have drawn widespread condemnation from human rights organizations. 

Recent attacks targeting civilians seeking humanitarian aid have resulted in **4,066 injuries** and left **39 people missing**, according to reports. Shockingly, **more than half of the casualties near aid distribution points were children**, as revealed by **Save the Children**, a leading British charity.  

In a disturbing analysis of **19 deadly incidents**, the organization found that **children were among the victims in 10 of these attacks**, highlighting the devastating impact on the most vulnerable.  

These tragic events underscore the urgent need for **enhanced civilian protection** and **safe humanitarian access** in conflict zones. **Protecting children and aid workers** must remain a global priority to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
